He left CIMB in 1993 at the invitation of the Government of Malaysia to set up the Securities Commission and became its first Executive Chairman until 1999. He continued on with his illustrious career, serving in various capacities, including as Chairman of both Celcom and Malaysia Airlines System at different times. He is the founder and President of the Kuala Lumpur Business Club (2003-2008) and is now the chairman of its Advisory Council.
He was made an Honorary Fellow of the London School of Economics and Political Science in December 2005, and in 2008, a Visiting Senior Fellow of LSE IDEAS (Centre for the Study of International Affairs, Diplomacy and Strategy) where he heads the Southeast Asia International Affairs Programme. He is also a member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies in London.

Datin Paduka had served as the Managing Director (MD) of KPJ from 1 March 1993 until her retirement on 31 December 2012. She had also served as KPJ’s Corporate Advisor from 1 January 2013 until 31 December 2014.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from University of Malaya and holds an MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading, London, United Kingdom.
Her career with JCorp commenced in 1974 and had been directly involved in JCorp’s Healthcare Division since 1978. She was appointed as the Chief Executive of Kumpulan Perubatan (Johor) Sdn Bhd (KPJSB), from 1989 until the listing of KPJ in November 1994.
Throughout her career in KPJ, Datin Paduka is directly involved in developing and implementing the transformational strategies that made KPJ one of Malaysia’s leading private healthcare services provider with 25 hospitals nationwide, and 4 hospitals abroad.
Datin Paduka currently sits as a Director of Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad and Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (CCM). Datin Paduka sat as an independent Non-Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia from 2004 to 2012.
Committed to promoting excellence in healthcare, Datin Paduka is the President of the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), the national accreditation body for healthcare services, elected since its inception in 1997 to date. Currently, she also sits on many other councils and committees at the national level.
In 2010, Datin Paduka was named the ‘CEO of the Year 2009’ by the New Straits Times Press and the American Express. She has also received many more awards and accolades from 2011 to 2014, due to her contributions to the healthcare industry in Malaysia.
She launched her biography entitled “Siti Sa’diah : Driven by Vision, Mission and Passion”, penned by Professor Rokiah Talib, Penerbitan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2013.
Datin Paduka is a member of the Academic Committee of the Razak School of Government (RSOG), and sits on several University Committees. She is a member of the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) Advisory Board, a member of the Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC) Advisory Council of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and as the Adjunct Professor of UUM’s Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business, and as a Member of University Malaya’s Research Advisory Committee (UMRAC).

Within ASEAN, she was the Senior Economic Officials Lead for Malaysia and the Co-chair for ASEAN-India Free Trade in Goods Agreement, which was implemented on 1 January 2010. Datuk Dr. Rebecca is Malaysia’s representative to the High Level Task Force for Economic Integration in ASEAN. She began her career in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1981 and served in various capacities in the then MITI. In 1988 she was seconded to the ASEAN Plant Quarantine and Training Centre as its Chief Administration and Procurement Officer. Datuk Dr. Rebecca holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature from University of Malaya and a Masters in Counseling from University Putra Malaysia. She also has a doctorate in Human Resources Development from The University of Georgia, Athens, United States, and in 2000 the American Academy of Human Resource Development awarded the Best Dissertation of the Year her PhD dissertation. Datuk Ranjit was appointed the Vice-Chairman of the governing Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the global body of capital market regulators and was elected as the Chairman of IOSCO’s Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEM) which represents 93 countries. In 2014, Datuk Ranjit was appointed Chairman of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF), a body tasked to spearhead market integration efforts within the region and comprises capital market authorities from ASEAN.
Datuk Ranjit chairs the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), the Malaysian Venture Capital Development Council (MVCDC) and the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF). He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Asian Institute of Finance and a member of the Board of the Labuan Financial Services Authority and the Financial Reporting Foundation, as well as a board member of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM).

Dr. Alan Tan was the Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Research at NUS Law (2006 to 2010), and was a Hauser Global Visiting Professor at New York University (NYU) School of Law in 2009, where he taught global aviation law and policy. He has also taught at the University of Sydney and served as a consultant to various governments and donor agencies, including the Vietnamese and Indonesian governments and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He is currently working on India’s evolving policy on civil aviation, antitrust immunity for airline alliances in Asia and issues of ownership and control, particularly in relation to Jetstar Hong Kong. He has also published extensively on aviation issues in leading journals and also authored opinion pieces in industry publications. A Member of Parliament since 2006, Mrs Teo was formerly Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Education and Assistant Secretary- General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). She represented the labour movement on the government-appointed Economic Strategies Committee and co-chaired the sub-committee on Fostering Inclusive Growth. Mrs Teo was concurrently Chief Executive Officer of the not-for-profit organisation Business China, a platform launched by then Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and then China Premier Wen Jiabao to strengthen Singapore’s bicultural foundations, and remains a member of its Board.
